- American Red Cross (ARC): Licensed mental health professionals can receive free training and serve their communities as Red Cross Disaster Mental Health volunteers.
- California Association of Licensed Professional Clinical Counselors (CALPCC): CALPCC focuses on educating professional clinical counselors in disaster mental health and crisis response through the Disaster Relief Committee.
- California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT): Supporting professional development in the field of crisis response by informing members about the mission and function of the CRER Committee, presenting historical perspective and foundational concepts, and emphasizing the difference between crisis intervention and psychotherapy.
- California Psychological Association (CPA): CPA has been a pioneer in Disaster Mental Health and instrumental in its pivotal development. CPA is also a strong member of the American Psychological Association’s (APA) Disaster Response Network since 1991. The APA DRN consists of psychologists who have expertise in the psychological impact of disasters and voluntarily engage in preparedness, response and recovery activities.
- National Association of Social Workers-California Chapter (NASW): NASW has an American Red Cross Council (NASWCA/ARC Council) consisting of a group of social workers interested in disaster work.
